AGCup Preview: Emirates v Al Jazira

10/10/2016

Emirates coach Klaus-Dieter Pagels says his players have a one-track mind for victory and are in high spirits following their recent turnaround in results. Speaking at the pre-match press conference before facing Al Jazira in Round 5 of the Arabian Gulf Cup this evening, the German coach said: “We came back from Al Wahda with a precious point last round, and we managed to score two goals against them in a matter of two minutes. Of course we are pleased with such spirit and character, and with the confidence it has given us, we hope for such form to continue. The round before that we beat Hatta, and we have no intention to stop this current run. We need to know how to approach Al Jazira in order to beat them, but when the players enter the pitch they only have winning on their minds.”
